Born and raised in San Antonio, Marisa graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2012. She lived in Chicago and St. Louis with her husband Joe before moving back home to San Antonio where she began her career with Aladdin in 2016.

Marisa is a graduate of the 2019 Master Rug Cleaner Rug Identification Class, a three-day advanced course covering everything from flat weaves to Karastans to the wide variety of Persian rugs by design, from the warp to the knot types.

In 2020, Marisa and Joe expanded their family creating rug addicts of their own, they now have 2 boys, Rex and John. Marisa is a rug enthusiast and strives to bring the best and most beautiful handwoven rugs to Aladdin.
